Tips for Dining, Eating, and Food Shopping in the Greater Los Angeles Area (including Orange & Ventura Counties and SW San Bernardino County)

kids/teens cooking classes

I'm hoping you can help w/this. My daughter really wants to take cooking classes but all of the ones we see seem to have "kid food". By that I mean, pizza, pasta, chicken fingers and really simple desserts. She loves ethnic food and eats everything but red meat. So far, I've looked at sur la table, bristol farms, let's get cookin and the ritz carlton....all with no luck (the kid food menus). All of these are in the LA area, as are we. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

  1. Here's a few that have more specialized classes:
http://www.newschoolofcooking.com/ (culver city, my friend's teenage son loved this one
    )and
http://www.summerartacademy.com/Cooki... (Pasadena, summer only, I don't know anyone who's been)

    1. I would highly recommend Chefmakers cooking academy. It offers a variety of classes that cater to that age range. I have taken many of the adult classes and I absolutely love it there!! The teachers are amazing and you learn a lot. It is in a small, but lovely setting. It is located in both Manhattan Beach and Pacific Palisades.
      The website is: http://chefmakers.com/

their classes are extremely basic, from what i hear. for kids that don't know what salt is...

      2. Thank you so much for the info and links.
