Rue Lepic still stellar?

My wife and I will be passing through the Bay area soon. We looked at Rue Lepic (Pine St.) when we were last in The City 15 months ago, but wound up snaring a cancellation at Chez Panisse instead. The most recent posts about Rue Lepic are over 2 years old - any updates?

Thanks, all. Since we'll be staying nearby, and thoroughly jet-lagged, it sounds like the place to go.

I ate there about a year ago. It's very good and very enjoyable. Great atmosphere, service and food.

        It's still stellar.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, and probably the most consistent restaurants in the city. I've been going four about six years now; used to be my go-to place when I was visting SF. Now that I've moved back, I still love it for special occassions.

Love the intimate setting (and the small, open kitchen); and, boy, can she (the chef/owner) cook. Have always gotten the fixed price menu, with the seafood pasta (absolutely delicious); I've enjoyed all the entrees, especially the veal, duck, and sweetbreads; and I typically order the passionfruit mousse.

I've recommended the restaurant to a number of out-of-town guests; they've all loved it.

I love Chez Panisse, too, but this is a totally different experience. Go, have a wonderful, lovely and laid-back time.

        http://www.bestofsanfrancisco.net/rue... , for the menu.

Rue Lepic is a neighborhood restaurant, good enough but not the same quality as Chez Panisse. I like it because it's small and quiet and the owner is very sweet and obliging. The food is very good but not memorable.

I was just thinking that too and as we live near by husband wants to go soon. Supposedly small with a husband/wife team and French menu, I think. If and when we go I will post back. Thanks for the reminder.
