This bakery has the best tasting and truly fresh baked goods.It really tastes like pure sugar, not corn syrup. I would like to know who is similar in California.

Well, I wonder if you ever tried store-homemade-bread in the US at all...? I am not talking about manufactured bread that you can find at a supermarket. Those bread from Pompadore are decent though they are very different from good-old-homemade-bread here in the US. They are more grainy and their texture is not comparable to the Pompadore. You would feel like that you are eating a substitute of rice. However, if you are looking for a desert type of pastry Pompadore will definately win.
