I know they're somewhere, but where and are they worth hitting up. I'm going to be on avenue c tonight, any snack suggestions?

Are you talking about Pommes Frites? It's on 2d Ave near St. Mark's Place. I think there's also a Belgian fry stand off of Thompkins Sq. Park on Ave A.

both true! Pommes Frites is on 2nd ave between St. Marks and 7th st. The other place (which also will make you hot chocolate or coffee with fro yo in it) is on the west side of A I believe between 6th and 7th streets. There also used to be a place down on Houston. They had fried chicken and Belgian fries. But if you are not only looking for tasty fries but also a large amount of dipping options, Pommes Frites is the place to go.

the 2nd ave place rocks - they have more than 25 dips - i love the mango chutney dip - its a pity to see people eat the fries with ketchup when they have some amazing dips. I learnt they server more than 1000 pounds of fries a day after seeing this great video at
