Teppanyaki in Philadelphia?

My nephew is coming to visit soon and I am looking for somewhere to take him out to eat (he's 9). He really likes Benihana in NY. Is there anywhere like that in Philadelphia?

  1. I cannot think of the name (Hikaru?), but there is a sushi/teppanyaki place (BYO) in Manayunk on Main St. It's fairly good but somewat small and gets pretty busy for dinner.

    1. There's a new place (called Tokyo Hibachi), on the 2nd floor of the 'Wok' restaurant at 1613 Walnut St. I haven't heard anything about it yet foodwise.

      1. In King of Prussia, the Kobe Japanese Steakhouse is located in the The Inn at Valley Forge on 202 just a little ways east of the mall. This used to be the Valley Forge Hilton. I haven't been there since they changed ownership, but it was a pretty decent place when I was there.

        1. There's a regional chain called Hibachi with 5 or 6 locations. I've been to a few of them and it's pretty consistent and pretty good. The one at Penn's Landing is right next to Dave And Busters...could make for a fun afternoon or early evening.
