Carmel-by-the-Sea restaurant, anyone?

Help, please.

I need a restaurant recommendation for my wife + 8 friends in Carmel-by-the-Sea for a Saturday night dinner.

I'm familiar with l'Auberge and Anton & Michel, both of which are too formal for this occasion.

- Bouchee?
- The Grill on Ocean Ave?
- Grasing's?

Any others places CHers have been to and enjoyed?

The Grill, especially if they have sand dabs -- best I've ever had.

We had an amazing tasting menu at Bouchee. Also if you like pork when I was there they had a great pork cheek appetizer with a poached egg and frisee that was amazing. The short ribs are like butter and their fish is great. It is a bit formal though, although not as much as L'Auberge.
