Where are Gourmet Food Stores

I am looking for any and all gourmet food stores in the south but mostly between Washington DC and Nashville, TN (I-81) and Nashville, TN Chapel Hill, NC (I-40). I will be driving for business to both of these places and would love to stop and see what is out there. I really want to focus on places that are individually owned not chains. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    I enjoy southern season, however, their prices are ridiculous

      If you haven't been, Southern Season will blow your mind. I think I still have a lost child roaming the aisles.
