Good Korean on Western Between Beverly & Fourth?
Here's the deal: I want to hold a dining event that includes a trip to Paris Baguette afterwards; I usually avoid Western Ave so I'm not too familiar with the restaurants there. Can anyone recommend a good one? I thought that it would be easier to just park in one spot and then walk over to Paris Baguette so that's why there is the geographical limitation.
Thanks.

if you're looking for a place *really* close to paris baguette, try the korean restaurant in the same plaza (in the back corner). i don't know its korean or english name, but i stumbled upon this place one day, and it's become a favorite.
they have a good spicy beef stew. but the best part is if you get two orders (costs about $30), you get free fried rice at the end of the meal. what they do is take the stew remnants, stir fry it with rice, and then top it off with an ungodly amount of white cheese! i know it sounds strange, but it's so good if you like cheese.
i don't speak/read korean, and the menu is all in korean. but i asked the waitstaff for help, and they were very nice.

Thanks so much for the recommendations! After I posted this I thought of Toad which I really like. I like all of the options presented to me since I haven't been to any except Toad.

I haven't been to Suhrabal BBQ, but it's katty corner from Paris Baguette and I've heard some good things (though not raves) about it.
If you like pork, you could do Toad on Beverly, about two blocks east of western (around Hobart). They specialize in pork bbq, bacon, belly, etc., but also have kalbi and other standards.
Also quite close and very good is My Secret Recipie, which specializes in hot pots of squid and octopus. It's on Third at around Hobart as well.
Good luck.
