Eats in Sonoma?
For brunch food, I would see if General's Daughter is open -- they have occasionally been closed on weekend days and then alternately, open. After that, I would try Cafe La Haye and Sante Restaurant at the Fairmount Sonoma Mission Inn.
For lunch food, I would head to La Salette for great Portuguese, Rin's Thai for California-esque Thai, or Eldorado Kitchen all of which are on the square.
Went yesterday for lunch to the Girl and the Fig. Lunch for 2 at the bar. It was surprisingly good. Shared: arugala salad with figs; skinny, crispy fries; and, provencal seafood stew. Flight of viognier.
Food was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Bartender was fun and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine.
Exceeded my expectations and will get a return visit!
