Corner Bistro convert

Last night, I fell in love. I'd tried Corner Bistro before and had gone away disappointed with an excessively rich burger that was low on flavor. This time, however, I heard angels sing. The medium rare patty was perfect and juicy. The bun had a touch of toasted crisp to it, and held up well to the demands of the succulent patty. Exactly the right quantity of onions. The waiter was genial. The experience was close to perfect. I'm thinking that the disparity in experience might be due to the much-discussed Jekyll-Hyde syndrome. Oh, I love you, Corner Bistro!

has anyone enjoyed the burger from daddyo's in the west village? the get their meat from the florence meat market. it is juicy, not overly bloated like a bad burger and right on. the also have a funky bloody mary menu with great choices. i think i had one with tequila that was yummy.

I suppose you prefer the glorified White Castle sliders they churn out at Shake Shack?

The time to hit Corner Bistro, if you can swing it, is around 1PM on a weekday.

For me, they're still all about the burgers, but I agree that the chicken sandwich is a nice change of pace. Much to be said for keeping a menu simple.
