Birthday Brunch for big group in/near Village

I invited a bunch of friends to Saturday afternoon brunch for my birthday and told them we'd have it at Pastis. Then when I tried to get a table for all 14 of us, I learned they dont have one big enough that's available, and the biggest table they have is only for 10 ppl (bc the other 1/2 of their communal table is booked up all day). AND the 10-up is only available super-early. I'm so disappointed. Thought about Schillers (the sister resto) but it's kind of far from the karaoke place that we're going to afterward (which is at 17th and 5th).

Can anyone suggest a good place to have brunch that's as sophisticated and fun as Pastis, will accommodate a large crowd like mine, takes reservations, and would probably have a table for us 2 weeks out?

you can try Pipa which is in ABC carpet! Great sangria and tapas. Thay also serve Brunch. Located 19th and bway.

Try Village on W. 9th btw. 5th & 6th. Pretty big space and a good brunch.

Rosa Mexicano and Mesa Grill are perhaps not as "sophisticated" as Pastis, but they are near your second destination and should fit your other criteria.

Agave would be fun and tasty... although not quite in the direction you're headed (it's on 7th ave near w10th, I think).

I've seen a round table that can accommodate a group your size at Blue Water Grill, which is on the corner of 16th St. & Union Sq. W., putting it quite close to your karaoke location. The food's good, and the vibe is upbeat. They accept reservations.

Only CoffeeShop on Union Square comes to mind but you'll have to call and find out if they take reservations.
