Chinese take out in Lincoln Square area

bethann Feb 14, 2007 01:45 PM

Does anyone have suggestions/favorites for good Chinese take out places in the general (delivery) environs of Lincoln Square?

I'm looking for someplace that's not too too greasy, has good dumplings and noodles and isn't as focused on chop suey as the places I've seen seem to be.

I feel your pain, Bethann- I lived in LS for 2 years and never had a good Chinese meal in the neighborhood.
I'm in andersonville now and close to 2 (formerly3) almost approaching decent Chinese places- though I haven't exhausted all of the options yet.
My current favorite is Furama, 4936 N Broadway St, . It has a great menu- though it really is better in-house than take out. A friend had a "meh" experience there about half a year ago, but I've always been pleased. Great dimsum.
The next is Sun Wah, 1134 W Argyle St, the Trib and Centerstage both love it, and I do too. It's so close to me that I haven't gotten delivery or take out, but I dig it!

A friend of ours recommended Plenty over at Montrose. Was going to check it out but they are closed on Sunday. I'm in the hunt, let me know how it pans out.
