Mexican near Park Central?

We are visiting Dallas this weekend, to see my grandmother, and are staying at the Westin Park Central. I'd like to find a good Mexican (or Tex Mex) in the area, something close as she is getting older (95!) and doesn't like to go too far. I'm also interested in suggestions en route to the hotel from the airport (DFW) as we get in Friday night and must feed the family. We've got two year old twins, not to limit the choices, they are wonderful eaters, but we can't stray too far off the path as they do need sleep! Thanks so much!

The original Mi Cocina is at Preston and Forrest, which is not far from your hotel. Depending on what time you get in, there are plenty of options for dinner in Grapevine but most of them close by 9 or 10.

There is also a Luna de Noche at Northpark Mall (NW HWY and 75) If you like cilantro you will L-O-V-E their salsa! Their chile rellenos (beef) is one of my favorites in the DFW area. To cross the t's and dot the i's your headline said, "Mexican" and LDN is Tex-Mex... For 'Mex-Mex' Cuquita's would be the choice, but their menu can be hit-and-miss. The crowds generally congregate there for menudo on the weekends.

If you're looking for something very close, your best options will be Luna de Noche (Forest & Central) or Cuquita's (Coit & Spring Valley), both of which are less than a mile away. Luna de Noche is pretty good gringo-oriented Tex-Mex. Cuquita's is geared more towards Mexican-American customers.

Manny's for tex-mex would be a pretty short jaunt down 75, off of Lemmon.
