There is Salvatore's Italian Restaurant located at 125 N. 6th Street, Montebello, just north of Whittier Blvd. and east of Montebello Blvd. Tony's Italian Deli at 2012 Whittier Blvd. (sandwiches etc. great bread!), House of Kabob Armenian Rest. at 2110 W. Whittier Blv., Montebello, Frumento's Italian Market (good sandwiches, salads etc.) located at 214 W. Beverly Blvd., Montebello, Miki Chans' Okazu-Ya Chinese and Hawaiian food located at 2529 Via Campo, Montebello (parallels the 60 fwy.) and of course there's Monterey Park just north of Montebello with tons of great Chinese restaurants. There is Ono Grill located at 1975 Potrero Grande Drive, Unit A Monterey Park (In the Self-Storage Plaza). There is also a new Salvadorean restaurant located on Montebello Blvd. on the east side of the street just north of Beverly Blvd. in the mini-mall next to El Pollo Loco. Also, in that same mall is an Armenian roasted chicken place, kind of on the order of Zankou. Another Amenian chicken place in the strip mall on the southeast corner of Beverly and Poplar. There is a Mr. Baguette (Vietnamese sandwiches, delicious) at 400 S. Atlantic Blvd.in Monterey Park. Manna Korean Barbecue at 2101 San Gabriel Blvd. which is just 10 mins from Montebello if you go north on Montebello Blvd. and turn left on Paramount and just go straight, north, until it turn into San Gabriel Blvd. Corner of San Gabriel and Potrero/Rush.

There's a good Salvadorean restaraunt on Whittier Blvd and Paramount in the same shopping center as the Food 4 Less. Sorry but I don't remember the name. They serve many unique dishes and of course Pupusas!! Also, if you travel east on Whittier Blvd there is a decent Thai/Chinese restaraunt called Siam Buathong right across the street from The 99 Cent Store. I second the recommendation for Golden Skewer in Montebello. Very very good Armenian/Mediterranean food.
