In the summer I grow several herbs, but was wondering if they will grow inside without a lot of direct sunlight?

don't know what your local climate is like, but here in minneapolis, many herbs will do fine-- especially if you give them a west or south-facing window. many herbs do better if you water them sparingly, like rosemary & thyme. basil doesn't grow indoors well for me, but i like to have big pots of it in summer, then bring them inside and pick off of them until they give up sometime in december or jan. chives are fun to grow, and so much fresher than buying them at the store. i would encourage you to try your favorite herbs, it's rewarding & economical.
