I bought these things on sale. The floppy, supposedly easy release molds. I'm not sure what they're called.

Anyhow, now's the time to use them - what shall I put in them?

Do you think angel food cake batter would release?

What about gougere batter?

I suppose I could just make brownies, but I'm not really in the mood.

Thanks.

I think that angel food cake may be a bad idea. I am not much of a baker, but I think that angel food needs a particular sort of surface so that it can creep up and cling. Those silicon molds probably aren't good for creepy clinging.

Maybe you could make cupcakes or even fill them with layers of different sorbets/ice creams.

Not angel food or gougeres. Cupcake type little cakes would work. Don't try to put that thing on an oven rack. Put it on a baking sheet before filling and bake on that.

Cupcakes, no paper, no butter on the molds? That will pop out OK? Thanks, I've never used the flex stuff before.
