Hello, I am planning a sales and marketing meeting for my company in Tucson, and need to make reservations at a nice restaurant on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Private room would be great. Steakhouse, seafood, Italian all work. Nice is important. Boss doesn't like Mexican.

Thanks for any and all suggestions!

You might want to check out two recent Tucson posts on the board. In the northern sector, there has been discussion on two, The Ventana Room (Lowe's Ventana Canyon) and Janos (La Paloma Westin), with mention of a third, Anthony's at the Catalinas. I've had groups of about 12 at the first two and everything was excellent. Janos has a "wine room," and we've had several board dinners there.

I would also look into McMahon's Prime Steak House - I think they have a couple different private rooms and one may fit the bill. Doesn't get much mention here on the boards and it has been a good 6 years since I dined there - but I think it will fit the bill for the steahhouse request and they have a fine wine selection (or, they used to).

Also, check out Fleming's. They have private rooms, excellent wine list and impeccable service and great steaks.

I did not know that there were any Fleming's in Tucson. That is what I get for only spending too little time and all of it in the northern areas.

In general, I enjoy Fleming's. As you state, the steak is good, the wine list very good and the service likely to never be faulted. In PHX, I find the general dining area too noisy (typical for most "steakhouses"), but I'm sure that a private room would offer some respite.
