Indian Food Help- Hyderabadi

My boyfriend has asked that I try to replicate the indian food we ate up to 3 times a week for lunch at college. The food came from a 'lunch truck' on campus run by a restaurant called Sree's. (this is at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh btw) According to the website ( http://www.srees.com/cuisine.html ) they are from Hyderabad and the food seemed like pretty typical indian fare (with a couple of exceptions) but he labeled everything with simple descriptive english terms easily understood and pronounced by the average american college kid. So...i'm at a bit of a loss as to what it actually was.
The dishes that my boyfriend and I specifically miss are:
-Tamarind chicken
-chickpeas and potatoes
-grapeleaf curry

I'm a little clueless (ok, a lot) when it comes to indian food; although I've always liked anything that gets put in front of me, I just dont know what it is. So I need some help here...pointing me at a source of information/recipies would be a good start. What might have been the indian names of those dishes? Since I'm not even sure exactly what I'm looking for, I'm not sure what to ask for or what information would be helpful (in terms of the taste and texture of the food). So...taking a stab in the dark here...help!

You might start with Madhur Jaffrey. She has many excellent Indian cookbooks, beginner to advanced. You will find them in any big box book store.
