decent seafood in south jersey

Two questions: Are there any decent seafood places left in south jersey? I live in Voorhees, NJ and would travel to Philly if I had to. I'm looking for eat-in, take out, cheap, or expensive.
Does anyone have any experience with Ponzio's Diner in Cherry Hill? Thank you.

Bull on the Barn is a field trip that is well worth the drive <http://bullonthebarn.com/>.
The seafood is super fresh and prepared simply.
They also source as locally as possible.

Are they open year round? They used to close from Jan to end of March.

I've spent plenty of very late nights at Ponzios in Cherry Hill. Ponzios is good for a diner, but it still is a diner if you know what I mean. Some of the seafood there may give you troubles later on in the night (calamari), but the majority is fine.

The ownership did change years ago, and that's when the quality began to suffer.

Just found a new place last night that has a lot of promise. It's called Sea Hags, in Westville, NJ (between Gloucester City and Deptford). Only been open a few months.

It's BYOB, wait staff was very attentive. Didn't know what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. Biggest complaint I had was the plate seemed to be too small to hold the food (kept knocking stuff off by accident... and it wasn't a small plate). I'll be going back again.

I agree with lee mac. I ordered their "special" shrimp which was a collection of large shrimp, slices of bacon, and a few crab meat lumps smothered in ketchup and a bottle of tabasco -- nothing else, just that. You couldn't taste the shrimp.
Their deviled eggs with crabmeat was the only dish we actually liked.

My favorite place so far is Ritz Seafood. Don't fall for their "signature appetizer" though...very disappointing. However, I have eaten here a few times and always leave happy. Food is fresh, and well prepared in creative (but not far out) ways.

Little Tuna (Haddonfield) was ok, but not nearly as good as the Ritz. You can check out my review at http://www.chowhound.com/topics/33842...

Some friends also highly recommend Emerald Fish on Route 70 in Cherry Hill. I've heard it's as good as Ritz, but haven't had the chance to try it yet.

                Etc.

Pelican Fish in Washington Twp has excellent seafood, we have never had anything less than a great meal...http://www.pelicanfishco.com/nj.html

i'll second ritz seafood. i have consistently enjoyed eating there. really delicious food prepared perfectly. i wish i could say the same for little tuna as it's down the corner from us. i have been underwhelmed there the past few times i have gone and have decided that i am not going back. it's mediocre at best.

why not give sagami a go? we went back recently after a long hiatus and were thrilled with it.

Check out Ritz Seafood on Rt 561 in Voorhees. A Little Tuna in Haddonfield used to be good - haven't been there in a while. Max's in Gloucester is worth a visit too.

Not sure about seafood because I don't eat it but you should get plenty of help from the south Jersey chowers on that question. Ponzio's used to be our family's go to spot because they had a HUGE menu with something on it for everyone in the group. Recently they have scaled down the menu, eliminating many items and at the same time reducing the overall quality of the food. I don't know what is going on. Maybe it has new owners. It just doesn't seem as good as it used to be, but what is?
