sherry in my chowda?

Making new england clam chowder today.

I saw a few recipes that included sherry at the end?

thoughts?

  1. certainly not traditional. but i always make lobster bisque with sherry.

    1. I like to drizzle some sherry on my chowder when I serve it. That, along with a lot of fresh ground pepper, and my mouth couldn't be happier.

      1. I think it is a matter of taste. My taste says sherry and some unsalted butter along with fresh chopped parsley.
