Cafe Brasil? - St. Louis

I'm contemplating this place for a meal later this week and read the review in Sauce. I just happened to be passing by it on Manchester @ McKnight. Anybody have any personal experiences here?

I don't know if Yemanja Brasil has churrasco, but Cafe Brasil does and George, the owner, does a pretty good job of it. I loved going to Cafe Brasil because it was close and the food I thought was very good. Yes, expensive if you go in the evenings. I usually go for the lunch buffet or the sunday brunch, when they also offer the churrascaria in a limited manner. That is definitely worth it. You might want to try them then.

How expensive in the evenings? The churrasco is what I was looking for and probably in the vevening hours. I didn't realize they were open for lunch. .

I think the dinner is $35. The sunday brunch with churrasco is $20. weekday lunch does not include churrasco.

my experience was similar. good, but extremely overpriced.

There's another Brazilian place, Yemanja Brasil, in I think Soulard that has gotten better reviews from those who'd seem to know (in my world anyway). I've not made it down yet myself.

I had dinner there 6 months ago and was not impressed. Service was very bad - seemed to be run by teenagers, and the atmosphere (design) of the place did not match the pricing. I will not be back. The food was passable, but not special. Perhaps it has improved since then?
