A L'Angle du Faubourg

Any comments on the "sister" restaurant of Taillevent? I've made reservations for dinner there with a colleague to celebrate our retirement as French teachers.

Haven't been there myself. You may want to read the reviews on Cityvox. In French however, but since you're a French teacher... Most of the comments excellent.

        do you drink?

L'Angle shares the cave with Taillevent so you'll have access to the full wine cellar. So many treats!

Aye, that's a BIG bonus, in my book!

It is quite good. I have eaten there a few times and always been very pleased. They have nice selection of wines by the glass if you don't want a bottle. Also, they have a daily 35e menu that is probably the least expensive way to visit any starred restaurant in Paris, no choices per course, however, on the 35e menu. The decor is sleek and modern looking.

I went to l'angle de faubourg about four years ago and had a terrific meal for a very reasonable price. I can'r recomend it now because restaruarnts may change over four years, but it was a great find then.
