Old San Francisco style sourdough and bargain fresh breads

I know Parisian bread isn't as good as all the others and not even as good as Parisian was, but their outlet on Evans Avenue in the Bayview has been the most convenient for us for very fresh bread. We don't get out much and we are on a more limited budget these days, but we don't mind paying more for a treat sometimes so long as there is good value.

With Parisian going away, please tell me where we might go for the same thing?

If we are spending more, who makes your favorite old style sourdough?

Also, at Parisian, we could get the freshest whole grain breads sometimes, okay for kids sandwiches and whatnot, for a dollar! The retail counter is steps away from the bakery.

Do you know any bargain bread places for fresh bread?

I haven't been in myself to know what the selection and prices are like, but I have noticed the Oroweat outlet when I'm passing through the Mission.
