Has anyone tried these places and if so, what did you think of them?

I tried Roma. It's OK, but not great. I've heard good things about the Cool Springs place though.

We tried Ciavelita a few months back and I was a bit disappointed from what I read. I wonder if that is why the NJ says it is better for lunch since we went for an early dinner. We tried five entrees and the seasoning for the dishes was great but the entrees themselves utilize very poor cuts of meat that are very bony and/or fatty, as if someone took say, the back of a chicken, cut it in slices, and stuck it in the stew. The bones and the fat were more prevalent than the meat itself, and it was hard to maneuver around in a styrofoam bowl. Also the whole fish, which we tried, while a steal at like $3 or $5, smelled very fishy and was inedible because it was cooked to death and has the consistency (honestly) of cardboard. If you can get a vegetarian item you'd probably be ok, since one of our stews was all veggies, but I'm not rushing back.
