I always see a very full pakring lot when I drive by the 1-9 Seafood restaurant on (natch) 1/9. I'm curious to know what it's like - is it pan-Asian cuisine that specializes in seafood? Is it sushi? Anyone who has been, please do let me know some details! Thank you!
1-9 is a Chinese seafood restaurant that is definitely worth trying, especially if you are used to authentic Chinese food. I would estimate that on a typical night, about 85-90% of the patrons are Asian.
There is a menu printed in English, and a different one printed in Chinese, but even the stuff from the English menu is very good.
re: Ted in Central NJ
Where is the 1-9 restaurant exactly? This is the place that serves good dimsum, right? I found this address, and would like to know if it's the right place:

It is on Rt. 1 Northbound in about 2 miles north of Woodbridge Center Mall. If you are coming from the south on Rt. 1, you'll have to do the u-turn near the big car dealership (Rt. 1 Auto Mall). The restaurant is primarly Cantonese style food and very good. Dimsum is excellent, too. Get there before 11:30-ish on weekends to avoid the crowds.
