Additionally, Quickly Shabu Shabu (237B Grand Street) is right by there too. How fast is fast? I'd try Dash Dogs (on Rivington) for hot dogs and sliders, Tiny's for sandwiches (also on Rivington), Cibao (on Clinton) for cuban sandwiches, or Rosario's for a slice (Orchard and Stanton). 88 Orchard is a nice cafe and they do pretty good sandwiches. Nothing beats a good, grown-up pizza and a beer before going to a show, presumably where you drink more! I also like Rice on Mott St. Recently I went to Loreley before Bowery, but my food was lackluster, and the service excruciatingly slow. These are a lot closer than the spots on Rivington. If I'm running late and I can't eat beforehand, I usually make the trek over to Bereket on Orchard and Houston after a show.
