Years ago I went with friends to the original Gari. They knew him, and he ushered to his bar, and commenced to load us up with all sort of wondrous delights. THen we got the bill. Sticker shock? I'm still trembling. It was about $300 a head. My pals could well afford it, but I was eating in the deli for the next few weeks.
Gari was still laughing as we left. I've never been back. I just don't get it.
