FYI, I was in Whole Foods today and noticed that the cannisters of Illy Coffee had tags around them offering a FREE one year subscription to Gourmet with purchase of 2 cans of their coffee.

i fell for a similar ploy at Sur La Table,,,,spend $50 and get a free year of Bon Appetit, three issues later and all i feel is pity for the felled trees.

Is this special offer available in Canada? I would be surprised if it is.
I also find Illy coffe over-rated. I buy coffe that has been freshly roasted and will soon roast beans at home.

Yes, it is available in Canada. I saw the offer at Whole Foods here in Toronto.

We don't usually buy Illy, but I'll check this out. I tend to be a bit of magazine junkie!

I think the quality is there, but yes it is overpriced. However, a free subscription is still one heck of an offer.
