Dinner after the Griffith Observatory

Planning a late afternoon trip to the observatory tomorrow. Would love to find a new cool place to go for dinner in the neighborhood or immediate surrounds, downtown ok too. Chowbabe and I are westsayeeders, so looking for some east side love from the 'hounds.

Parameters: Reasonably priced, semi-romantic, fish options

For romantic with fish options, I'd go for Blair's, Vermont, Vert (in Hollywood & Highland) or Hungry Cat. Downtown there's the Water Grill, of course.

Farfalla is really good but make a reservation. Cobras Y Matadors has really gotten terrible, and the service is very snooty and unattentive. They are totally inconsistent. Il Capriccio on Vermont is excellent for pasta. There's also Flying Leap Cafe on Hyperion, and Blair's on Rowena which is consistently good. A bit spendy, though.

There's so much to choose from...
On HIllhusrt Farfalle or Puran's might be good - also maybe La Poubelle on Franklin...
There's also a Cobras and Matadors in the hood. What kind of food do you want?

You will see many options, but I think Canele will be your best bet. Unfortunately they don't take reservations.
Cliff's Edge is probably more romantic, but I think it might be rainy, so it might not be the best time for their lovely patio.
