Has anyone tried this year's offerings?

  1. Yes, I did. Both my friend and I had the soup - savoury, indeed. For mains, his was better - he had the lamb and I had the seared tuna. I actually remember when I had the seared tuna as the appetizer for Summerlicious last year it wasn't spectacular because in my opinion, seared tuna should be more raw, and less seared. Bymark, on the other hand, had a great seared tuna appetizer last Winterlicious. So I'm concluding that Canoe doesn't have a great seared tuna, at least to my liking. For dessert, both were good and very filling. It was very busy that night too and we had to wait about 20 mins at the bar for our table but it was okay because we had the nice night view to look at.

    1. Btw, the service we had was great. Our waitress was genuinely nice and had a smile on her face the whole time. Very friendly. And we had ample time before ordering (perhaps they forgot about us for a while?) which was nice because we had time to enjoy the scenery and there was no rush between the portions.

      1. I actually found the soup more sweet than savoury, or at least a nice balance of salty and sweet. Unfortunately, I did not get to try the tuna, only the lamb, though cooked a touch beyond med-rare was still pretty good.. As it was my first 'licious meal ever, I actually left pretty happy, as all I seem to read on these boards are horror stories, and I came expecting the worst.

They did a decent enough job, that me and my GF were talking about doing another dinner there (non-licious) once the days get longer and we can really enjoy that view.

        1. Anybody eaten off the regular menu at Canoe? Any good?
