advice: how to serve a glazed ham for an appetizer?

In another thread where I was looking for ideas for easy appetizers for a crowd and someone recommended a glazed ham with quartered slices of bread and mustrard. I love this idea.

has anyone done this? Should I get a presliced ham? Should I make additional cuts to make it easier for people?

Also, anything else that you would serve with the ham? I am thinking thin slices of a good cheese...any other ideas?

Thanks!

They were sort of little flakes of ham piled up, rather than sliced, but I can't tell you what kind of ham it was. I don't know all the differences- smoked, spiral-cut, etc.- I'm clueless as far as that's concerned. But, I'm sure someone else will be able to advise you on that.

I'm not a ham fan, so I can't advise you on what to buy, but I was at a wedding and the food was actually good- shocking! Anyway, one of the finger foods was miniature biscuits with ham, I think manchega cheese, and an apricot chutney/ dijon mustard spread... even though I don't like ham, I was tempted to try that combo, it sounded so good! Everyone else loved them at the wedding.

I am a ham fan. That sounds awesome. I was going to suggest mini biscuits with ham, baby swiss and honey mustard, but that sounds even better!
