Claypot Question

I ordered a casserole to go from a place in chinatown and was shocked when I got back to my office and there was a clay pot in my bag! This does not appear to be a disposable plastic item. Is this standard procedure? Am I supposed to return it? I assume not since they didn't say anything. Can I reuse it?

  1. I think that it was an error that you received the claypot. It could be that whomever packed up your to go items was new and didn't know better (or it was a complete oversight.) It's up to you if you want to return it but I'm sure the restaurant would love to have it back.

As to the question of reusing, yes, it can be reused. It can be used again and again, just like a normal pot. You'll have to google recipes for how you use the claypot if you want ideas of waht to do with it. On the flip side, you can always buy a claypot yourself at the Asian market; they aren't that expensive.
