Canyon CIty BBQ in Azusa has an amazing Philly Cheesesteak Sammie!

I've found that Markie D's in Culver City is the best approximation of what Philly Connection was, and is actually more convenient now that I live in this neck of the woods.

I miss that place, too. This blog post of my visit to Markie D's can almost be considered my love letter to Philly Connection.

One thing in favor of Markie D's is that I actually _like_ the peppers in their sandwiches, whereas at Philly Connection, I always had to ask them to remove it, though this could just be a personal preference change.

There is a sign advertising a new cheesesteak joint in a strip mall on Lake just north of Orange Grove. I can't remember the name of the place, and it's not open yet, but I'm going to try it if it ever does. I miss Philly Connection.

Nope; it closed probably six or seven years ago, at the very least, long before I moved to Pasadena. It then moved to Monrovia for a while, but closed up shop again, and even that was several years ago.
