Yep - It's on Arroyo Pkway just south of Parkway Grill - same side of street. It's ok - like most of the cupcakes I've sampled, the frosting is that confectioner sugar/butter concoction which is way too sweet for my taste. The chocolate ganache frosting was good & chocolate cake was nice and moist. It seems the trend in most of these cupcake places is to emphasize the cute decor/graphic design. Haven't found a place yet that knocks my socks off (and I've tried alot).

I agree with mrpullings because how good can a cupcake get if everyone makes it the same way with that sugary frosting on top, even if it comes in different flavors? They're good...but not earth-shaking. Someone needs to create innovative non-traditional cakes in cupcake sizes.

        Here's another thread on Dots:

I agree with the painfully sweet frosting comment - I've not had a lot of luck there, personally, but it seems to be a case of my not getting the cupcakes when they're fresh/freshly frosted. But I liked the mini chocolate cupcakes that I tried last week. Here's another thread on Dots:

I just have to say that these cupcakes are an ok second to Sprinkles, but I doubt I'll be going there again because the owner is not too friendly. You would think that someone owning a cute bakery would try to be better about projecting a good image and being pleasant to customers.
