Heard the last owner (Janet) sold the store not very long ago and things have gone rapidly downhill ---- anyone had recent experiences ??

I saw the topic and almost had a heart attack:) I don't think it's changed at all - 1/2 moons are still the best around and it still looks like it hasn't been updated in 30 years:)

The sale went thru in 2000 and I don't think things have gone downhill at all - we're regulars there. I also love that the place still looks pretty much the same as it did when I was a kid. I hope they never drastically revamp the decor - it's very nostalgic for me.

Lyndell's was purchased quite a while ago by a group who owns and operates Dunkin Donuts franchises. They have vowed to 'not change a thing' including the coffee they serve. My normal purchases haven't changed a bit.

I had the cupcakes last week, and they were as good as ever. Not a representative sample, but hopefully it's a good sign.
