I get deliveries from Planet Organic, which I have been very happy with so far. I am under the impression that they deliver throughout the Bay Area (not totally sure, but you can check at their website). I like the fact that there are many many options as to the size and composition of your box, as well as frequency of delivery. You can also customize each order online the week before you recieve it.

Along with recipes and food news in each delivery, they also offer a selection of natural groceries and personal care products, which you can order online and get delivered with your produce box.

On the website, they also talk a lot about their relationships with individual farms, and the fact that they are worker owned. Overall, I find it very convenient, and of course, I like getting fresh produce and supporting organic farmers.

I like Capay Farms or Farm Fresh to You. A bit more spendy but they deliver right to your door instead of a pick-up spot.
The veggies and fruit have been tremendously fresh. Hard to even go back to Whole Foods.

I just joined two small farms on the basis of a recommendation from this list. I signed up for a one month trial for $106 (it would be $80 for the produce but I added the flower supplement as well). I am linking the website so you can see if they have a pickup close to you - they have one on Folsom and 25th that is on my route home from work, so it should be easy for me.
I haven't picked up my first box yet, but when I do I will report back.

I use Two Small Farms, too. I think they have lovely fresh stuff, but it is mostly vegies and only strawberries (fabulous) for fruit now and later apples. The quantity is good for a 2 person household who eat a fair amount of vegies. I especially like the greens to cook, last week they had a braising greens mix that was outstanding. Their carrots, garlic, onions, lettuce, and beets have been superior.

We've been splitting a box from two small farms with the neighbors for more than a year now. It is definately a veggie box, rather than a fruit and veggie box, but that's fine. Good stuff. Highly recommended.

ditto, almost to the letter. I haven't gotten sick of those great strawberries, but also buy my fruit on saturdays at the farmers market. the snap peas today were outstanding, as is the variety of greens. And they've even driven me to discover two outstanding recipes using baby turnips (I was not previously a fan).

I use Terra Firma. It's cost us about $78 per month for weekly deliveries in my neighborhood of their medium sized boxes, all organic from Yolo County. Sometimes the amounts have seemed a little small, but the food has been delicious. One of the frustrating things about the delivery is that we've been getting, for example, loads of sugar snap peas for weeks now, and how many stir frys can you make? On the other hand, their strawberries and cherries are excellent. And a lot of fresh favas, which I love.

And Terra Firma's melons for two years in a row were so amazing, I'd swoon as I ate them. Hope the weather this year didn't ruin them. Sign up now to get the melons in July and August!
