Nice, but not bourgeois, business dinner

I'm looking for some help plannning a dinner with union clients to discuss an organizing campaign. I need to find a place that is suitable for a business dinner, but more plebeian than the typical expense account restaurant.

People will be coming from both the LAX area and downtown, so just about anywhere east of the 405, south of the 101, and west of the 110 would be great. I suppose downtown would be okay, too.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Sounds like Pann's to me. Tables on the patio would be nice and informal while allowing easy conversation, food's good, prices 'way reasonable.

Maybe Guelaguetza, the one on Olympic? They have a big space and tables they can easily rearrange, and the setting is definitely not bourgeois. Plus they have their own parking lot. Last time I was there they had a live band, so that would be something to ask about.

What about Taylor's Steak House? It's not really high end pricey, but it's comfortable and you can have a quiet conversation.
