Meeting tomorrow AM in Huntington Park ... anything in the area I should try while i'm in the area? My colleagues and I are up for just about anything .... thanks.

I used to work down there... You could check out La Villa Basque in Vernon. I'm pretty sure it's the only remotely "upscale" restaurant in the area.

I am veg so haven't had much of the food now - I don't think the food is great (and the hours are bizarre), but the place is so freaking cool. It's the kind of place you could imagine some afternoon drug deal go down in a movie or something. It's owned by one of the shady political figures of Vernon.

Thanks for the referral ... thoroughly enjoyed the soup ... I accidentally ran into a Gallo Giro this morning also (off of Florence) ... great champurrado and atoles ...
