Private Room for 10-14

Any suggestions for a top-tier place that can offer a private room for a family of 10-14 to celebrate a 75th birthday and a 50th wedding anniversary?

I don't know if its big enough, the table might seat only 10, but I've always wanted to eat in the kitchen at Via Matta.

The private dining rooms at Locke-Ober have great history and ambience. And the food is "pretty good" as well.

In addition, most of the restaurants in the financial district and the larger ones in Back Bay have private rooms. They do a substantial business in functions in these spaces during the lunch hour. Decide on a place that you like and find out if they have the space.

I think Cafe Escadrille in Burlington can accomodate you.

In addition to tthe above, so do Smith & Wollensky and Davio's.

Eastern Standard has a nice private room with a long table that could easily accommodate your group. Congratulations on such happy milestones!

Grille 23, Flemings and Locke Ober all have private rooms.

Mamma Maria in the North End has a few private rooms that could do that. Plus, the food is excellent and the atmosphere perfect for a birthday and anniversary.

This page on their web site describes their various rooms. Click on "photo tour" to see pics of the various spaces.

I've enjoyed the Mamma Maria's private dining and it was exceptional. Sandrine's in Harvard Square is also quite good. If Rialto in Harvard Square is open again that's another excellent idea. Om and Upstairs on the Square also have wonderful private rooms. Sorry about the emphasis on Harvard Square, I tend to do a lot of business dinners in the area...
