I only managed to get to Winterland once, but I was very much impressed by Morales' cooking. (Yes, the wait in between courses was atrocious, but the food was excellent.) Last I read--I think it was a November 2006 post, there were rumors of Morales opening another restaurant. Any word?

Morales was the chef at Salt in Phila. for a short time. I had two of the best meals of my life there. He really has a distinct genius for understanding and pairing flavors. I go to pieces remembering those dinners.
