Rehearsal dinner for 50

I am looking for a restaurant that can accommodate about 50 people for my rehearsal dinner. My guests are staying at the Luxe hotel in Bel-Air so a restaurant in the vicinity would be great. We have some picky eaters so I would like to stick to American or Italian cuisine. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

What's your price range? If you can get your hands on it, Zagat used to publish a marketplace guide that was perfect for planning a large dinner, wedding etc. The LA guide listed restaurants that can accomodate large parties, caterers, halls for rent etc.

I would like to keep it at about $50 per person. What do you think about Bel Air Bar & Grill?
I'm in NYC so might be hard to find an L.A. zagat but I'm on it. Thanks for the advice.

The Bel Air Bar & Grill is certainly close by the Luxe. However, if you mean a $50 per person budget which has to take care of the food, dessert, adult beverages, coffee, and tax & tip? Then based on their on-line menu, I don't think that would be possible. Example:

        $10 - Salad
$26 - Choice of Chicken or Salmon
$8 - Dessert (A guess - they don't list any desserts on-line, which is unusual).
$3 - Coffee - assume $6 coffee but only 25 people have it.
$12 - Wine (Based on average of 2 glasses per person, 5 glasses per $30 bottle).
        -------
        $59

        $16.36 - Tax & Tip
        ----------
        $75.36 per person

That doesn't include people gathering and having a cocktail at the bar first, any pass around apps., parking, ect.

You might have to drive a little farther for $50 per person all inclusive.

You might check with West restaurant, (on top of the Hotel Angelo). It has a nice view of the freeway snaking over the Sepulveda pass with its river of headlights and fuming drivers. It would make your transport problems very simple as you could walk over there from your hotel.
