The Cookhouse in E. Hartford
Ate lunch at The Cookhouse in East Hartford. I am always afraid of going to BBQ places in New England because so many of them are utterly dismal. I like The Cookhouse. The atmosphere is definitely more family friendly and clean (mini-chain), but I was happy with the ribs, chili and pulled pork. I will go back and recommend it for as an almost great BBQ place.

I have stopped in twice for lunch and have never been disappointed. Once I had the pulled pork sandwich, second time was a brisket sandwich (Hobo Fuzzy). Both were very good. Their BBQ sauce doesn't knock my socks off, but it is more than adequate. My coworkers are all big fans of the place, so they must be doing something right.
