Super Bowl hero in Manhattan?

Where should I get one (not a huge one) Kosher Delight, Dougie's 47th St, Kosher Mktplace or Supersol? Tx!

  1. I've expanded the search to Teaneck!

If you're seriously thinking of coming to Teaneck, both Noah's Ark and Ma'adan make top notch Heros.

Thanks for that info re Teaneck. For next year!

        2. Depends whether you're looking for quality or price. KD's deli is pretty low quality (as is Subway's), but Dougie's deli is pretty good and their heroes are very good if a bit on the expensive side--about $25/ft, if I remember correctly.

Thanks--going for quality. is someone confirming the Dougie's on 47th was better quality than the one on 72nd st?

Wow, that’s the first time I have seen the two words "Dougie's" and "quality" being used in the same sentence without the word "low". Most Chowhound posts equate Dougie's with extremely low quality food.

That's why I was asking! Ok, I guess I've narrowed it down to "not Dougie's!"

The complaints about Dougie's usually center around the wings, the ribs, or the fact that they put the same house BBQ sauce on everything. Their deli is actually pretty good, and certainly a big upgrade over KD or Subway.

In terms of delis there's also Mendy's and Mr. Broadway, and between the two I find Mendy's food to be of slightly better quality. I have no idea if either of them does heroes, though.
