Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Anyone know where to find some beautiful, well presented chocolate covered strawberries somewhere in SF? East Bay okay, too.

Oddly enough, last weekend at Andronico's, a supermarket, was giving out samples of their chocolate covered long-stem strawberries. They were pretty darn good...I was amazed. The chocolate was smooth and melt-in-your mouth good and the strawberries were sweet!

There are indeed wonderful strawberries, covered in luscious chocolate. A whole bunch were delivered to me at my office on Valentine's Day (which is the reason I assume you were searching). They came from Edible Arrangements and no one could stop eating them. They may have been hothouse strawberries or they may have been from South America, but they were soft and ripened to perfection, fragrant, and not at all tough. I checked the website and they were delivered for $58 for more than enough for 10 people--there must have been more than twenty.

The Godiva shop on the street level of 2 Embarcadero Center makes them fresh to order.

However, there are no good strawberries available right now.

How about Shari's Berries? They are based in the Sacramento area but can deliver next day.

Are you thinking of Godiva? Their chocolate-dipped strawberries are usually great, and huge to boot. I'd also recommend the [dark] chocolate-dipped glaceed apricots.

              More likely Cocoa Bella.

Westfield center at the chocolate shop on the street level. can't for the life of me remember the name, but it's right when you walk in from the market street entrance
