Costa Mesa, 55 and Newport Bl recs?

I pass this area frequently and there's a riot (?) of restaurants, there. Any reccommendations for solo, after-work meals or nice couples' places? Besides Marrakesh.

On 17th right by Newport Blvd. theres a good cafe called Plum Cafe.

There's lots on Bristol and also on 17th - are you willing to consider those?

They're not too far out of the way, so yeah, I'd consider them.

On Bristol, Memphis is always good, Chat Noir, there's a sushi place in the Antimall that's supposed to be good, I like Aire, but there are dissenters. On 19th, definitely Sushi Shibuco and on 17th, Santa Monica Seafood is good for lunch, Frenzy Sushi, Picnics, La Cave, and my favorite frozen yogurt shop in the world, America's Cup, where it's all make your own toppings - fun & cheap!
