Malatesta on Washingon is well worth it. Try to call Picolo Angolo as well, probably booked but worth a try!

Amazing cheap meal Jean claude on sullivan street (prince/houston) (only take cash) awesome french food really reasonable.. great spot..

La Ramblas would tight for 4. Food is good, but not amazing, and it really adds up!

I'll second all of Lucia's other suggestions. I love Deborah; Cornelia would be the least expensive, I think.

Po, Cornelia St. Cafe, Deborah, Bellavitae, Little Havana. I've heard good things about Las Ramblas but haven't made it there myself yet.
