Steak! Inexpensive to Moderate $

jazzlover Feb 2, 2007 09:48 AM

Enjoyed the porterhouse at Columbo's in Eagle Rock - well worth the $22.50 price and live jazz. Looking for other places w/wo music in Northeast LA, Montrose, Glendale, Pasadena area. Seeking grilled, medium-rare, with a slightly charry taste!

You can't do better than Damon's for the quality and value.

Agree 100% on Damon's! We get the tenderloin, butterflied because we don't care for the char. Their twice baked potato is good too.

I really like the Sherman Room in Van Nuys for good Char steak at a good price.

I think Damon's is a good meal for the price, and the atmophre is soo "camp". The meat is tasty, and the Mai Tais' (call your rum) are really good. It is retro and those waitress's have been there for ever!

taylor's for low brow, mastro's for high.

                    the.end.

I think Cafe Beaujolais in Eagle Rock has two great steaks on the menu - a filet, and a skirt steak, plus a rib eye special. All three are amazing and I believe under $20 or just about $20. My friend had the rib eye on Saturday night and said it was the best she'd ever had...

Gaucho's Village in Glendale. Not exactly a steakhouse but a meat lovers heaven, live brazilian music (and dancers on Fri/Sat) Its all you can eat for $30 and the meat quality is as good as you can get. They're also set to open another restaurant called Charcoal next to the dome at the Arclight sometime this year.
