Suggestions for Brighton 10 Feb.?

nohohound Feb 2, 2007 05:48 AM

Any "foodie" suggestions for a 6 p.m. dinner for four next week in Brighton? Looking for a bistro-type place that puts out quality food, any cusine, perhaps with a young, talented, and ambitious chef. Would prefer something between overpriced Food Palace and standard tourist trap. A pub with great food would be good, too. Thanks for your help!

Pintxo People is worth a visit

Not necessarily for the food in the upstairs restaurant which is hit & miss, but for the excellent cocktails and the well made tapas in the downstairs area

A good way to begin an evening even if you move on elsewhere for supper

      La Fourchette's good: http://www.lafourchette.co.uk/

It's neither over-priced nor touristy but it's a bit more serious than a pub (well, most of them).
