Looking for late nite spot Berkeley...

Looking for a late nite spot to hang out and have snacks and beer near the University. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Preferably a place that can handle anywhere between 25-30 people. Thank you!

  1. Berkeley is peculiarly lacking in the late night department.

This is not near the University, but it's pretty easy to get to. How late are we talking about? I just tried Koryo Sushi and I was blown away by the cozy ambience. A semi-separate room with tables looked like it could handle that many people. I saw Cal students there, as a matter of fact. They are supposely hopping at close to 2 am and beyond at times. You might want to give them a call. 4390 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 5105940661

    1. We're talking 10:30-11:00 pm. I'll try and call ahead to see if we can make arrangements. Thanks for the awesome tip!

      1. The Bear's Lair, Jupiter, and Triple Rock (same ownership) are all open late but I'm pretty sure the kitchens close earlier.

        1. The Hotel Durant lounge is one option. They don't have food but people could walk over to Top Dog (or anywhere else that's open at that hour) for goodies and bring them back to the Durant. We did this for an after wedding party for friends a while ago.

          1. Au Coquelet on University stays open until 1:30/2 a.m. Kitchen/restro in the back stays open pretty late. 20-30 people might be a push. I'd check it out to get a real idea...but for hanging out for not too much $$$, it works fine.
