Dinner near the Pantages
After a search of the LA Board for a pre-show dinner within walking distance of the Pantages, I am trying to decide between Hungry Cat (seafood) and Hollywood & Vine (Cal/Am).
Are there any others that I may have missed? I am looking for a place that is no more than 2 blocks from the theater so that we can walk there comfortably for a show after dinner, and that has somewhat of an upscale atmosphere for my mother's birthday. Would prefer a place that is not too dark and loud.
Also, can someone tell me how much I should expect the bill to come out to for a party of 5 at each of those places?
Lastly, any recommendations on what to order at each? What to stay away from?
Thanks!

The Bowery and Magnolia are practically kitty-corner from Hungry Cat. I've only had drinks at Magnolia, so can't really comment on the food. I like the Bowery, but it does get crowded and noisy later at night. Not sure about the theatre crowd. It's probably a bit more casual, but the food is pretty decent. I love their onion rings and sweet potato fries.
Hungry Cat is good - more expensive than the Bowery. Not sure if it's necessarily more upscale - I found the decor a bit bleak. Very good drinks, more of a seafood-slant.
(Their websites have menus, and perhaps prices as well.)
